Gavin Carrier

Key strengths:

  • - Commercial Analysis
  • - Planning
  • - Management
  • - Project Team Leadership

Gavin’s experience as a senior property professional and CEO has built him a unique and illustrious track record, boasting projects in locations as far flung as Africa and the Middle East, and of such calibre as the beautiful transformation of historic Walsh Bay on Sydney’s harbour foreshore.

Notorious in his local gym for training until he drops, his dogged tenacity is a hallmark of his strategic and astute approach to all that he does; whether it is devising solutions to implement massive mixed use urban renewals, or strategising high-end residential projects, Gavin leaves no stone unturned, and has an eagle-eye for the most minute of details. When he isn’t nearing cardiac arrest in the gym, Gavin channels his boundless energy into finding the best coffee shop around, wife and border collie in tow, and tolerating his family copying his immutable Scottish accent. But beware - if you’re an enemy of Clan Douglas of the Scottish Highlands you may need to look elsewhere for your property needs.

Over his career, Gavin has worked on four different continents where he’s held a number of senior strategic roles including:

  • CEO and Board Director at the Plymouth City Development Company, leading the regeneration of the City of Plymouth in South-West England.
  • Development Director for 12 years with Mirvac where, among many other projects, he led the multi-award winning $700 million Walsh Bay Redevelopment on Sydney Harbour from commencement to completion.
  • International Development Director leading the $95 Billion Mediterranean Gate development – a mammoth Joint Venture between the Dubai Government and the Tunisian Government to create a new high-tech city adjacent to the ancient city of Tunis (formerly Carthage).
  • National Development Director at Jones Lang LaSalle heading up the firm’s Development Division in Australia and New Zealand.

Affectionately known as 'KD' throughout the industry, the self-proclaimed Robert Redford lookalike brings a wealth of knowledge to his role as Sales and Marketing Director at Ironbrook Property Group, with over 45 years’ experience at the coalface.

KD has worked as both a developer in his own right and in a variety of strategic corporate roles within multiple sectors across Australia, including industrial, land subdivisions, commercial, retail, residential and hotels. His exceptional track record has earned him an enviable reputation as a doyen of the property industry. • Head of Sales (Australia + New Zealand) for Multiplex Living including residential, commercial and retail strata sales, overseeing projects ranging in size from $20 Million to $3.8 Billion
